We went out for the sheep shearing experience, it was myself, my wife, my 8 yr old Son and my 6 yr old daughter.

The hosts were extremely accommodating, very friendly and the whole experience was a highlight of our Ireland trip. Its definitely a little bit of a drive, but we arranged our ring of kerry drive specifically to accommodate this and no regrets, was simply awesome.

My visit to Hidden Hills Waterville Farms was a bucket-list experience come true! Getting to shear a sheep was a dream of mine, and Timothy made it incredibly fun and educational. Timothy was a wonderful, patient instructor, and the surrounding scenery is nothing short of majestic. I learned so much about Irish sheep herding, loved meeting all the animals, and truly had a fantastic time. WE LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE. Our group of 16 toured the farm to see sheep herding. We were also able to feed lambs, pet alpacas, buy yarn, and just have a great time. It is smaller and much more personal the the other choices we looked at. Farmer husband and wife Kitty and Timothy we incredibly lovely hosts. And the setting is gorgeous.

Spontaneously found this place on Reddit and it was not to disappoint. My boyfriend and I were on four day trip to Ireland and our puffin tour was canceled in the morning. We last minute booked this sheep and alpaca tour, and the lady was very accommodating!! All the sheep and alpacas were very soft and well-maintained and the shepherd dogs even came to greet us . Had the chance to stop by for a visit and did the lamb and alpaca feeding. Had a great time! The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They answered all of our questions and the sheep and alpaca were very cute and well taken care of! Got to pet some of the shepherd dogs too! If you’re anywhere near Waterville, don’t miss this sheep herding demonstration. Timothy is an incredibly friendly shepherd who clearly loves what he does. He shares a wealth of knowledge about sheep farming, the history of the area, and plenty of entertaining stories that make the experience both educational and memorable.

The farm itself is stunning, spanning nearly 400 acres of beautiful Kerry countryside. Watching the sheepdogs work with such precision was fascinating, and it gave us a real appreciation for the skill and tradition behind sheep farming in Ireland.

This was my second stay here, and I can honestly say it's become a must-visit place for me whenever I'm in Kerry. It's close enough to everything you might need, yet peaceful and remote enough that you can truly switch off and enjoy the quiet. The surroundings are beautiful and it's the perfect place to relax and recharge.
One of my favourite moments this time was being greeted by the chickens when I arrived. Also having fresh eggs for breakfast straight from the coop is something to remember 😍
The sheep and alpacas are always a joy to see and make the experience even more memorable.
The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming.Thank you again for another wonderful stay!
